WINNER: Maharaja Agrasen (Ahmedabad) - Manas Gupta and Yash Goyal

RUNNER UP: St.Kabir (Vadodara) - Digant Bakari and Harshil Vaidya

Calm and Collective, Determined and Dedicated, Patient and Prepared were all hallmarks of the young duo from Maharaja Agrasen, Ahmedabad as they clinically executed a title winning performance. Earlier in the afternoon a relatively tough prelim led to the final.

The finalists were:

Bright Day School (Vadodara) - Devesh Sawant and Harsh Thaker
Maharaja Agrasen (Ahmedabad) - Manas Gupta and Yash Goyal
Navrachana Sama (Vadodara) - Anshul Shah and Shubranshu Jha
DPS (Vadodara) - Abhijeet Mishra and Aashish Mishra
St. Kabir (Vadodara) - Digant Bakari and Harshil Vaidya
DPS Bopal (Ahmedabad) - Rohin D and Ashul Roy

The final started with the two youngsters from Maharaja Agrasen into the lead with teams from St. Kabir and Navrachana right behind them setting the tone for a tight quiz. As the quiz moved on, DPS Bopal inched closer to these teams with some good answers.

The buzzer rounds proved to be the key differentiators as Maharaja Agrasen started mounting the lead and the pressure making it evident that they were well prepared. St. Kabir from Vadodara on the other hand were not letting them run away and matched their answers in equal measure to set the stage for a final showdown.

The final round 'Total Kombat' was indeed true to its name as teams battled for the top honours in the final frontier. However, a calm and confident duo from Maharaja Agrasen entered the national finale, yet again with an impressive performance. St. Kabir finishing a very credible runner up.

The guest of honour, Air Marshal (retd.) PK Desai, inspired the young teams by telling them "As sharp young minds you will be in roles that will help build the country. It could be in IT, or the armed forces but always remember you are serving your country". Mr. Pankaj Gupta the head of TCS Ahmedabad, said 'I am honestly scared when I see such sharp kids but I am happy that the future is secure with such talent'.
